Dan Trinidad founded Partners Mortgage in San Jose in 1988 with the guiding principle “Everyone matters.” As president and CEO, he gives equal care and thought to customers, referral partners, and the community. As in any partnership, he believes, everyone is important, everyone contributes, everyone benefits, and everyone matters.

Under Dan’s leadership, Partners Mortgage has become one of the most respected mortgage companies in the industry today. Dan’s philosophy of interrelatedness and equality propels him and his team to provide outstanding service throughout the mortgage process.

Dan earned a degree in economics from the University of California, Irvine, and began working as a loan officer for a savings and loan institution in Saratoga, California. He quickly became a top producer. Only four years after graduating, he founded Partners Mortgage and began building it into the successful company it is today, with a top annual production of $1.7 billion and a world-class culture. He has hired, developed, and coached hundreds of superstar loan officers and branch managers.

He encourages people to play the long game – to care less about their failures, and less about what people think – and to develop a growth mindset about every area of life. He is passionate about health and well-being (financial, career, physical, and mental health), relationships, family, community, and spirituality.

The tragic loss of his first wife to leukemia in 2008 while his two sons were teenagers was the greatest challenge of his life. It fueled his emphasis on thinking about the whole person as a coach and mentor, as well as his life goals and values.
